Brewed from Hitogokochi rice polished to 59% and fermented with No. 7 yeast, a Nagano-born strain known for steady, reliable fermentation and soft, restrained aromas. The result is light and fragrant, with a gentle apple-like aroma, a cool, dry feel and a satisfying mouthfeel. Sweetness and dryness are well balanced, so it is easy on the palate and keeps you coming back for another glass. Enjoy it chilled or at room temperature with yakitori and soy sauce-based dishes.

About the brewery
Sakunohana was founded in 1892 at Shimokoshi in Saku, Nagano, a site chosen for its clean Chikuma River water, good groundwater and surrounding rice land. Brewing water is subsoil water from the Yatsugatake range. Owner and toji Toshitomo Takahashi aims for refreshing sake in which all five tastes are present and the finish stays crisp enough to drink throughout a meal.
