Kirinzan Nagareboshi, or Shooting Star, is a Junmai Daiginjo made from Gohyakumangoku rice polished to 45% and brewed with the signature soft water of Niigata. Fresh fruit and floral notes greet you on the nose, followed by a bracingly clean, well-balanced palate laced with a mild citrus nuance. It leaves a very clean, crisp finish in the classic Niigata manner, and its striking bottle makes it a fine gift. Best served chilled.

About the brewery
Kirinzan has brewed at Tsugawa, in the mountains of Aga, Niigata, since 1843. All of its sake rice is grown within a ten-kilometre radius by around fifty-five local farmers, with the brewery's own staff in the fields from planting to harvest. Very soft water from the Tokonami river system underpins its role as a reference producer of Niigata's dry tanrei karakuchi style.
